San Miguel de Salinas doesn't have a beach but we do have a Welcome Wave! More and more people are discovering the character, wealth of culture, the improved facilities and sheer simplicity of pueblo's like San Miguel de Salinas over the busy and bustling coastal strip.

San Miguel de Salinas can truly identify itself as a tourist destination. As work nears completion of the renovation of the Old Town Hall as a Foreigners Information Centre coupled with a Tourist and Visitor Centre for San Miguel de Salinas the Ayuntamiento prepares new information sheets covering the 'most frequently asked questions'. They hope to streamline a number of procedures for the increasing foreign population of the town.

Located in the centre of the southern half of the Costa Blanca and with access to the motorway network on our doorstep we are the perfect holiday destination. And if you want sandy Blue Flag Awarded Mediterranean beaches there are many to choose from within 10 kilometres of the Town. Equidistant are the important cities of Alicante, Cartagena and Murcia with their historical interest and modern hustle and bustle.

Then there is the diversity of the Salinas - our unique Salt Lakes, The Campo - the countryside with its' acres of Orange, Lemon and Almond Groves, and the backdrop of the natural mountainside. And there's more….every year we can guarantee 300+ days of sunshine.Activities - absolutely everything you could want, From 90 top class holes of golf to horse riding and fishing, nightlife and wildlife. We have a regular cultural programme and there's no shortage of social events. Make sure you don't miss bargain shopping at our busy local street market on Wednesdays.
