Sitges
The Costa Dorada, on the east side of
Spain, runs from north of Barcelona to Tarragona and encompasses
about 150 miles of golden beaches, hence it's name 'the Gold
Coast'. The safe, shallow waters found in Salou and Cambrils
are perfect for the small children.
Sitges is a little more relaxed and
sophisticated. Wherever you find yourself make sure you check
out the local Catalan dishes, many of which are based on fresh
fish caught locally. The whole coast has a reputation for
it's friendly informality, it's glorious beaches and almost
endless sunshine.
